<description>Wow, I didn&#039;t know the 18% was being challenged...I am spreading the word about a 2009 World Watch study citing 51% (!!!) of human -source CO2 is from eating animals and animal products. Here&#039;s a flyer I created as a handout:

The World Watch Institute found EATING ANIMAL PRODUCTS = 51% of GHG* !!
(published Nov/Dec 2009) * GHG = Greenhouse Gases

This study updates considerably the 2006 oft-cited UN report, Livestock&#039;s Long Shadow, by adding GHG emissions involved in clearing grazing land and feed land (much of which is rainforest!), processing, cooling and transporting the end products, livestock respiration, undercounted methane emissions, growth of numbers of livestock annually, and previous undercounting and exclusions.

Eating animals and animal products is now estimated
to cause 51% of the emissions leading to Global Warming!!!

This means that an individual action, which each of us can take for the sake of our descendants without ANY change in government policy or economic conditions, could reverse global warming within just a few years!

			SPREAD the WORD!!
