My husband and I were excited when we saw that the Yard House had Gardein options until we got there and inquired further about each meal. Turns out that very little there is actually vegan (like the article states). I think it is wonderful that they are adopting gardein as an option but I would love to see them make a better effort at making more of the gardein choices vegan so that vegans can actually eat there. We haven't been back to the Yard House because after we ordered our meals vegan they were so sad and pathetic and quite expensive it just was not worth it.

As a Canadian, I can testify how great Gardein products are (it was developed and is widely available in Canada). The products themselves that I've seen in Canada are all 100% vegan and non-GMO. It's sad that the restaurant chain above doesn't seem to invest in vegan options. Why all the honey, when maple syrup or agave nectar are so easily substituted??
I encourage people to go on to sites like Kickstarter, where you can help someone get a creative project off the ground - just search for vegan. If you are American, you have many, many more options to support a vegan start-up project.
