I just wanted to drop in and thank you for putting out such a great journal. I have been vegan for 2.5 years and for a long time I would go to Barnes and Noble and look to see if the latest Vegetarian Journal was out yet. Finally I subscribed and also ordered some other books through the Vegetarian Resource Group, including “Vegan in Volume”. I am hoping to find a way to approach the dietary department at the medical complex where I work about offering more vegan and vegetarian options as their three cafeterias are severely lacking in this area. This book is a good reference to offer them. I love that your journal has a focus on common, affordable nutritious vegan food since the majority of the world is not wealthy and long term sustainability and world hunger are such important issues we face in this world. I have given away copies of your magazines to medical waiting rooms, the breakroom at work, fitness center lobbies, family members transitioning to vegan diets, and friends. My sister, who suffers with a mental illness and is on disability, has found your magazines very helpful and she is doing amazingly well in her transition to vegan. I really appreciate your down to earth approach to living a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle and how you make it accessible to everyone, breaking the stereotype that vegans are all highly educated rich white people from upscale big cities. Keep up the great work!
