“At the recent Quaker Spring Gathering in Painted Post, New York, a very informational veggie booth was exhibited. Betsy Root worked to put together the display for the event, as seen in the above photo. Vegetarian Resource Group member Karen Peissinger connected Betsy to VRG, who provided some handouts for this outreach.”

  1. Karen Peissinger says:

Just a quick thank you to VRG for giving Betsy the excellent handouts! It’s good to know that our donations make it possible for VRG to support people like Betsy who are sharing the veggie message.

  2. Betsy Root says:

Thanks for this. What a surprise! It was my mission to speak out for farm animals and encourage more families to give up family farmed meat. Quakers stand for peace, and I believe this testimony extends to all beings.

  3. Veggie Booth, a wonderful concept indeed… Vegetables are friendly to all unlike non-vegetable items on the platter, so the trend is shifting towards the vegetables again. Let the greenery flourish, firming its roots up….
