Vegan café/bakery. Café Indigo is a family-run vegan café and bakery offering some of the best vegan desserts and sandwiches in Concord. Some of their vegan baked goods include apple pie, carrot cake, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate chip cookies. On the café menu, they offer a homemade black bean & rice veggie burger, grilled seitan wrap, and a tofishy sandwich. Also notable are the café's delicious peach and green tea sodas. Ask to see their wheat-free menu.

Vegan/natural foods/organic/juice bar. Spoon Revolution Vegan Bistro, formerly Rasa's Vegan Kitchen, is a good place to go for a locally-grown, eco-friendly meal. Their 100% vegan and gluten-free menu consists of dishes inspired by various ethnic cuisines. Although the menu selections change based on availability, the buffet will include hot soups, cold soups, salads, main dishes, and desserts. Live music will accompany the Saturday evening dinner buffet. Spoon is located across from the Capital Center for the Arts.

Bagel deli. More than 16 varieties of bagels are offered with various topping options, including cream cheeses, Tofutti spreads, salads, and other vegetarian combinations. Only natural ingredients without preservatives are used. The Works Bakery Café is environmentally conscious and socially active in its community.

Natural foods. The Divine Café & Grille offers a menu of natural foods with something for everyone. All vegan and vegetarian food is cooked separately from meat. Make sure to try their very own Divine Burger, a gourmet vegan rice burger that they produce in-house; it's also available for sale at regional grocery stores as well as on the menu of area restaurants. Enjoy the cozy, warm atmosphere of the Divine Café; they’re in a red barn with a green sign in front.

Vegetarian/café/coffeehouse. Zeppelin & Kaleidoscope Vegetarian Café is a great place to get a cup of coffee, check your email, and enjoy a vegetarian meal. They offer many vegan items including The FBLT (vegan version of the BLT), The Fungus Among Us (grilled portabella panini), and The Falafel Platter. Breakfast is always available at Zep & Kal's. They also have a small grocery and gift selection. Enjoy outdoor seating in nice weather. Free Wi-Fi is available. Zep & Kal's is located on Route 101 in downtown Marlborough, right next door to Inkubus.

Vegan/organic/natural foods. Taste of Life is a take-out only café with outdoor seating. Their all-vegan menu includes homemade falafel, tofu scramble with home fries, and a few raw items. They also feature whole fruit and organic smoothies and juices. Please note that Taste of Life does not sell food (just smoothies and juices) between breakfast and dinner; Sunday is the exception with food being available all day. Cash only.

Vegan/organic/natural foods. Susty's Café offers organic, vegan cuisine in a bright and warm atmosphere. Selections include tofu pesto focaccia, seitan pepper steak wrap, tofu lasagna, and 'the best black bean enchilada.' Don't miss dessert which ranges from chocolate cream pie and blueberry pie to cake and spelt muffins. Sustainable sustenance is the name of the game at Susty's, and they are committed to supporting organic and local farmers by using organic ingredients whenever possible. Although a little off the beaten path, Susty's is well worth the trip. Cash only.
