Vegetarian/eclectic. This "hut" offers a separate counter for gluten free and vegan meals as well as an entirely vegan and gluten free prep area. Enjoy hot cinnamon almond milk or chocolate hummus dip with apple slices and rice crackers. Also choose from a variety of rice paper rolls or customize your own wrap, sandwich, salad or quesadilla with a choice of their pesto or homemade dressings. Make sure to ask what the Hummus of the Day is and take home a tub from their fridge. Outdoor seating is available.

Indian. You can enjoy fine dining in downtown St. John's at India Gate. There are 13 vegetarian dishes on the menu, such as Baigan Masala, Navrattan Curry, and Dahl Makhni. There is an excellent weekday lunch buffet. India Gate is closed between lunch and dinner on weekdays, so please call ahead for hours. Reservations are recommended.

Vegan/Asian. Peaceful Loft is a family-owned vegan restaurant with many creative Asian inspired dishes. The menu ranges from unique fusion options to traditional dishes made veg-friendly. Choices include curry with mock meats, stir-fry, noodles, and soups. Be sure to try the Lotus Seed Buns and the Peaceful Roll.
