Chinese. This Chinese restaurant offers great gourmet dishes, including many vegan options. Recommendations include their Hot & Sour Soup, Napa Cabbage, Buddha's Sesame Beef, and the highly popular Mock Eel. Also, they are willing to replace the meat in any dish with tofu. A Single Pebble is closed between lunch and dinner, so please call ahead for hours. Reservations are recommended.

Mexican. Bueno Y Saño translates as "Good and Healthy" and this small restaurant lives up to its name. The menu mainly features burritos including fillings like seitan, grilled zucchini, and fresh spinach, as well as the standard beans and rice. Burritos can be ordered without cheese or sour cream.

Vegan/natural foods. Pingala Café & Eatery offers an all-vegan menu in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Enjoy their BBQ Jackfruit Wrap, Karma Burger, or E.L.T. (for eggplant, lettuce & tomato). The atmosphere is amazing with a retro look and huge mural on the wall along with views of the Winooski River, from inside or the front porch. Pingala is located in Burlington's Chace Mill.

The California Reuben--grilled tofu, sauerkraut, and provolone topped with Russian dressing on grilled rye--is a vegetarian favorite! The chef is very accommodating of special dietary needs; tofu can be used in place of meat for many dishes, and the complete menu can be prepared gluten-free.
