VRG Store Debuts on America Online

American Online logo The Vegetarian Resource Group is the first participating vendor in a new interactive store in America Online's Cooking Club. The store offers subscriptions to the Vegetarian Journal and our most popular books, including Vegan Handbook, Simply Vegan, Vegetarian Journal's Guide to Natural Food Restaurants in the US and Canada, The Lowfat Jewish Vegetarian Cookbook, Simple Lowfat, and Vegetarian, Leprechaun Cake and Other Tales, and our "Be Kind to Animals...Don't Eat Them" t-shirt.

Bobbi Pasternak, VRG's online coordinator, worked very hard to get this set up (thanks, Bobbi!), and it has been quite successful. In addition to exposing lots of people to the books, many are actually buying them.

The Cooking Club's forum for vegetarians, Vegetarians Online, offers a separate entrance to the store which features only the vegetarian products. To visit The Vegetarian Store, use AOL keyword "vegan" then click on the "Vegetarian Store" button. To visit The AOL Cooking Club, use keyword "vegetarian."
