It contains sugar which\nmay have been processed through cow bone char. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VRG asked Spencer Breidinger,<strong> <\/strong>Manager of Global\nProduct Quality and Regulatory Compliance &#8211; Supply Chain Services at Domino&#8217;s\nabout its sugar and how it had been processed before arriving at Domino&#8217;s. He\nreplied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur sauce and seasoning\nsuppliers have confirmed that bone char is not used in the processing of the\nsugar they source.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vegan diners should note that the Hearty Marinara Sauce\ncontains butter and cheese. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vegetarian patrons should be aware that the Spinach &amp; Feta\nPizza is made with Alfredo sauce which contains <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrg.org\/blog\/2021\/12\/23\/update-on-dominos-pacific-veggie-pizza-and-alfredo-sauce\/\">beef enzymes<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is there a vegan cheese option at Domino&#8217;s Pizza?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, Domino&#8217;s does not offer non-dairy cheese in the\nUnited States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VRG asked Aubrey Yuzva, the Director of Menu and Product\nDevelopment at Domino&#8217;s Pizza, if Domino&#8217;s had ever trialed non-dairy cheese in\nthe past or had any plans to offer it in the future. Aubrey replied in November\n2021 by email:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have not offered non-dairy\ncheese in the United States before, but other regions have launched or tested\nthose types of offerings in the past. Unfortunately, I can\u2019t comment on future\nplans around non-dairy cheese alternatives for confidentiality reasons.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: The VRG reported on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrg.org\/blog\/2014\/03\/24\/soy-cheese-pizza-at-dominos-pizza-in-israel-a-first-for-major-pizza-chains\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Domino\u2019s Israel<\/a> and its soy cheese debut in 2014. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The VRG followed up by asking where interested readers should\ncheck for updates on any non-dairy cheese trials or launches at Domino&#8217;s.\nAubrey responded:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny official announcements would largely be made via press\nrelease, our website, social media pages, and TV advertising.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to see vegan cheese at Domino\u2019s, The VRG\nencourages readers to contact the restaurant chain directly through their website\ncontact form and on social media. Express your wish to have a vegan cheese\noption at Domino\u2019s.
