Vitamix is supporting this research because omega-3 fatty acids are important in reducing the risk for heart disease, depression, and dementia.<\/p>\n<p>You are eligible to participate in the study if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are between the ages of 20 and 100<\/li>\n<li>You have been a vegan for at least three years<\/li>\n<li>You are not currently taking essential fatty acid supplements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are selected to participate, you will receive a copy of the report of your blood levels of these important essential fatty acids, and as a thank you, a $20 Target gift card. A small number of participants will be asked to take a vegan omega-3 supplement for three months in the second part of the study.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nutritionalresearch.org\/survey\/\">https:\/\/www.nutritionalresearch.org\/survey\/<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>The study has been approved by the University of San Diego Institutional Review Board.
