You may ask yourself if it\u2019s all worth it because it may<br \/>\nseem like you are the only one that cares. Well, you aren\u2019t! If you need<br \/>\nan extra push or a reawakening into veganism, here are some great<br \/>\nresources that helped me get back on track.<\/p>\n<p>I found the following helpful because they inspire me to continue on in<br \/>\nveganism through the realms of cooking, health, and the environment.<br \/>\nSeeing all the healthy food prepared in documentaries inspires me to<br \/>\ncreate my own recipes and try new food. Watching people lose weight, get<br \/>\noff their medication, and reverse their diseases makes me excited to<br \/>\nenter the health field. Reading other people\u2019s experiences and following<br \/>\ntheir journey encourages me to continue on in my own. And finally,<br \/>\nlearning about the ways the meat industry affects the environment fuels<br \/>\nmy passion to live sustainably.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documentaries<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forksoverknives.com\/\">Forks Over Knives<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hungryforchange.tv\/\">Hungry for Change<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cowspiracy.com\/\">Cowspiracy<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.getvegucated.com\/\">Vegucated<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Books<\/strong>:<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brendadavisrd.com\/index.php?code=Books\"><br \/>\nBecoming Vegan<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Whole-Rethinking-Nutrition-Colin-Campbell\/dp\/1939529840\">Whole<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/michaelpollan.com\/books\/the-omnivores-dilemma\/\">Omnivore\u2019s Dilemma<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blogs<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/myeclectickitchen.com\/\">My Eclectic Kitchen<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/ohsheglows.com\/\">Oh She Glows<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forkandbeans.com\/\">Fork &#038; Beans<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/minimalistbaker.com\/\">Minimalist Baker<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to resources, find a group of local vegans who share your<br \/>\nvalues. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vegan.meetup.com\">www.vegan.meetup.com<\/a> to find a group in your city. Once you plug into a community, you may find it easier to be vegan because<br \/>\nyou have people supporting you. You never know who you might meet! Get<br \/>\ninvolved in your local vegan or vegetarian society. If your city doesn\u2019t<br \/>\nhave one, consider creating your own. Someone else is probably looking<br \/>\nfor the same thing. Attend a local vegan or animal rights festival or<br \/>\nconference. There you can talk to different organizations, sample<br \/>\ndelicious food, and learn more about the movement. I\u2019m positive you will<br \/>\nwalk away encouraged just seeing all the people who are as passionate<br \/>\nand involved as you are. Also, it may be a good idea to write down why<br \/>\nyou became a vegan. That way, you can look back and remind yourself of<br \/>\nhow you felt when you first made the switch. Finally, try a new vegan<br \/>\nrestaurant. Food never fails to make me happy and being in an all vegan<br \/>\nrestaurant makes me excited (and a bit overwhelmed) because I can choose<br \/>\nanything on the menu and it\u2019s safe to eat.
