Khepera said: As someone who was born and raised vegan due to my family history of heart disease from high cholesterol, I have always been interested in pursuing this plant-based lifestyle. I am currently a public health researcher at Morehouse School of Medicine studying how a plant-based diet can contribute to a higher quality of life after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Vegetarianism and veganism has been researched extensively and found to contribute to overall well-being and I believe it is my duty to encourage others to feel as good as I do. In addition to the health benefits of a veggie diet, I am also aware of the environmental implications of a plant-based lifestyle and the effects it can have on creating a safe world for both humans and animals alike.
