DEIRDRE NEWCOMB FROM ALABAMA IS A WINNER OF THE VEGETARIAN RESOURCE GROUP 2026 VIDEO CONTEST
Deirdre said: “I became interested in vegetarianism through my personal health and spiritual journey. After first giving up meat when participating in the Daniel fast, I noticed real changes in my energy, discipline, and overall wellbeing. That experience led me to fully transition into a vegan lifestyle, which I have maintained for three years. For me, veganism is not just about food, but about intention and discipline. It has taught me how small daily choices shape my health, mindset, and consistency, especially as a college student balancing responsibilities and goals. It continues to remind me to be mindful about what I consume and how it affects my future. I also wanted to share that my vegan journey has meant so much to me. Choosing a vegan lifestyle has not only changed the way I eat, but it has also encouraged me to prioritize my overall health and well-being. Living a healthy lifestyle has been a key part of my success, and I am thankful to organizations like VRG that inspire and encourage others to make positive lifestyle choices.” Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftB4lxi9OCs
