Vegetarian/Chinese. One block north from the Convention Center, this casual, mostly vegan restaurant marks the items that do contain dairy or eggs clearly on the menu. Their menu offers an entire page of noodle and fried rice dishes, including thick Shanghai Fried Noodles and Garden Special Chow Mein. They also offer entrées like Crispy Black Mushroom, Chili Eggplant, and Sweet and Sour Veggie Fish. Brown rice is available, and no MSG is used in any of the food. Affinity is closed between lunch and dinner, so please call ahead for hours.

Vegan/organic/fast food. Boon Burger Café offers a fresh take on fast food. Using organic and local ingredients whenever possible, the menu is all-vegan. One of their most popular items is the Thanksgiving Burger (grilled potato-crusted 'turkey' patty, cranberry sauce & maple-glazed yams). In addition to an extensive selection of yummy burgers, Boon also offer soups, salads, and sesame-potato fries.

Vegan/international. This coffeehouse, located in the historic Exchange District, is completely vegan except for the option of cow's milk for the coffee drinks. The menu features homemade organic soups, African Peanut Stew, samosas, a vegan Caesar Salad, a Fake Bakon BLT, a Southern Fried Tofu Sandwich, Lasagna, Spanakopita, and much more. Desserts include chocolate-walnut-caramel cake, tofu cheesecake, cookies, muffins, pies, and soy ice cream sundaes.
